Job Responsibilities / Job Description:

Headway of the bulk carrier chartering manager.

Experience on the commercial side of a reputable dry bulk vessel-owning company or a dry bulk commercial vessel operator or commercial management company and direct experience in pre- and post-fixtures activities.

Additional qualifications/experience such as ship command experience and MICS qualification will be given preference.

In charge / Deputy Manager DPP & CPP (Tanker)

Senior level sailing experience on tankers with shore experience in the commercial operations of a reputable tanker-owning company, tanker commercial operator or tanker management company, preferably in tanker chartering.

Ship Command Experience + MICS will be preferred.

In charge of the work, Deputy Manager (PMO)

A position where you will be working on a project basis with a focus on ship design, new building, supervision in a shipyard or technical consultancy or construction.

The advertised requirements comprise experience in FATS, HATS, inclining experiments and sea trials, and the preparation of technical reports, deviation reports, risk assessments and milestone recommendations.

The candidate should also be ready to attend shipyards or subcontractors, designers or relevant OEMs as and when called up for special needs and have satisfactory English writing and conversational skills.

Superintendent Fleet

Must have a minimum of one year of sailing experience in the past seven years as Chief Officer or Master on a Foreign Going (FG) General Cargo, Container, or Tanker ship, plus a Certificate of Competency Class 1 Deck.

Superintendent Engineer (Bulk Carrier)

Requirements for candidates are at least one year of sailing experience as Chief Engineer on foreign-going general cargo, container or tanker vessels in the last 7 years, plus a Certificate of Competency Class 1 (Motor).

Superintendent Engineer (Tanker)

A Certificate of Competency Class 1 (Motor) and at least 1 year of sailing experience as Chief Engineer for the last 7 years in Foreign Going (FG) Tanker vessels.

Deputy Manager (Ship Personnel)

Candidates with a Class I/II Certificate of Competency (Deck/Engineer) may apply. Routes are also included based on experience – Master/Chief Engineer, Chief Officer/2nd Engineer or Shore Experience.

A candidate could also gain the necessary qualifications through an MBA, MPA or BBA (HRM) from an institute that is recognised by the HEC and have worked in a reputable company for five years with a background in HR.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master Mariner (FG) with a minimum of one year of sailing and shore experience on the commercial division of a reputable dry bulk vessel-owning company, commercial operator or commercial management company; or
  • Completion of a master’s degree from an HEC-accredited institution in any subject which includes 8 years of shore experience.

In-charge / deputy manager / deputy press officer for DPP & CPP (Tanker)

The candidates are required to have either relevant senior tanker sailing experience (preferably 1 year of relevant shore experience) or a master’s qualification (from an institute recognisable by HEC) with at least 5 years of relevant shore experience.

The age is not exceeding 50 years.

In-Charge/Deputy Manager (PMO)

Applicants are asked to have a bachelor’s degree in naval architecture, shipbuilding, marine engineering or mechanical engineering from a recognised institute by HEC.

At least 10 years of relevant professional experience is required, including at least five years experience in ship design, new building, shipyard supervision, technical consultancy or construction.

Ages are a maximum of 55 years.

Superintendent Positions

Superintendent Fleet requires a Certificate of Competency Class 1 Deck and the following sailing experience:

A Certificate of Competency Class 1 (Motor) and the following sailing experience are required for the Superintendent Engineer positions: Chief Engineer sailing experience.

These positions are for those under the age of 57.

Instructor (Assist Manager) (Ship Personnel)

Class I/II Certificate of Competency (Deck/Engineer) and relevant maritime/shore experience are mentioned in the advertisement. Other options include an MBA, MPA or BBA (HRM) from a recognised institute by the HEC, with five years of work experience in the HR field.
