Experience: 15 years in hydrometeorology, early warning, systems integration, and ICT modernization, involving multidisciplinary teams as team leader.
Numerical Weather Prediction and Forecasting Expert
Qualification: Master’s degree in meteorology, atmospheric sciences, NWP, applied mathematics, physics, environmental sciences, or a related discipline.
Experience: Ensemble, verification, and HPC-supported workflows in operational NWP/weather forecasting for 8 years, two similar assignments.
Skilled and experienced ICT/software & data integration expert.
Requirements: A master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, computer engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 15+ years of software engineering / data integration experience, including real-time data acquisition, CDMS platforms, and WIS2 platforms.
HPC Expert
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Computational Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 10 years in planning, procurement, and management of HPC infrastructure, including direct engagement with similar operational HPC infrastructure and two similar projects.
Important Information
Interested consultants should submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and a detailed CV, stating the position and its Reference No.
A consultant can submit more than one EOI for more than one position but must submit a separate EOI and CV for each position. The consultant may be appointed for only one position, however.
The selection will use the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations—Open Competitive Selection of Individual Consultants (OCSIC).
