Research Assistant – DEEPGUARD Project (NRPU-87309)
The first is part of the HEC-funded project, DEEPGUARD: Deepfake Audio Exploitation Prevention & Guarding Against Real-Time Deception.
The hired candidate will be expected to work on a deepfake audio exploitation prevention and real-time deception protection project.
Research Assistant – AI-Driven Aerial Monitoring Project
The second one is part of a project funded by the HEC, Revolutionizing the Construction Industry with an AI-Driven Aerial Monitoring System.
The project is looking for candidates who have relevant academic backgrounds and have technical expertise in the areas of machine learning, computer vision, 3D vision and AI Image Processing.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates will be required to have specific requirements for chosen project.
1. DEEPGUARD Project – NRPU-87309
Qualification:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, and Transformer architectures.
- Understanding of audio/ video signal processing.
- Excellent Python programming ability.
- Real-world experience working with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and other cutting-edge ML frameworks.
Research Experience:
- Experience as a student researcher for projects will be a plus:
- Successful research experience is a plus but not a requirement.
Age: 0-40 years.
3. AI-based aerial monitoring project.4. Aerial monitoring project using AI.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
- Must be a degree from an HEC-recognized university, and have been completed after 16 years of education.
Research Requirements:
- Good academic track record and research potential.
- Published or submitted conference or journal articles.
- Some knowledge of the project process as a student researcher is helpful, but not required.
Preferred Technical Expertise:
Experience in the following would be preferred:
- Development of Machine Learning/Deep Learning algorithms.
- Computer vision and 3D vision.
- Programming using python, c++ and matlab.
- COLMAP and MeshLab.
- OpenCV and Open3D.
It includes deep learning techniques for 3D vision such as PointNet, PointNeXt, KPConv, SparseConv, and Transformer-based models:
- Basic knowledge of CUDA and GPU training.
- Segmentation and Detection of objects in image by YOLO and Mask R-CNN.
- Multimodal Data (RGB and Thermal).
- Technical writing and technical communication skills.
