Job Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager of Finance & Accounts will be responsible for the following:
- Involving any accounts payable management, such as invoice verification and processing, vendor coordination and reconciliation, in the ERP.
- Comparing supporting documentation, approvals, expense classification and applicable withholding taxes prior to payment.
- Performing bank, vendor and other assigned account reconciliations and maintaining general ledger records.
- Monthly, quarterly and annual closing, including prepayments, accruals, adjustments and financial schedules.
- Capitalisation and depreciation, transfers, disposals and register reconciliation of fixed assets.
- Ensuring physical verification of fixed assets, which needs to be coordinated.
- Tracking the operating costs and cost of capital against approved budgets, reporting material variances.
- Supporting senior members of the team in internal and external audits and other assignments.
- Resolving discrepancies, applying PMIC’s financial controls and implementing audit recommendations to enhance accounting processes.
- Supporting other projects that the supervisor implements, such as equipment, financial controls, etc., for the business.
