Concerning the Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority (PKHA)
The Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority (PKHA) is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the provincial road system of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PKHA is under the administration of the C&W Department with a goal to develop and improve expressways, highways, and high-volume roads that improve connectivity, trade, and mobility across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Authority administers large-scale projects through various funding mechanisms provided by provincial or federal government and different Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models, to ensure timely delivery and transparency.
Job Title: Project Director (PDPE)
The Project Director will have overall responsibility for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and management of expressway development projects assigned to the Provincial Expressways Directorate. The PDPE position requires technical knowledge and experience, along with leadership capacity to oversee multidisciplinary project teams, budgets, and contractors while following the guidelines as per Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Project Implementation Policy, 2022.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise the design and construction of expressway and bridge projects through the entire project lifecycle.
Oversee the feasibility studies, planning, and design phases and the ongoing execution phases.
Oversee the record of consultants, contractors, and government agency coordination.
Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are adhered to.
Monitor and evaluate project performance as specified by PPP guidelines.
Prepare detailed progress and financial reporting for senior management.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
Candidates applying for the Project Director (PDPE) position must have at least the following conditions
Qualifications:
M.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Structure / Transportation) from a university recognized by HEC.
Experience:
Minimum 15 years experience of public sector projects (highways and bridges).
Minimum 5 years experience of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects.
Certifications:
At least CP3P / Foundation Certification (from an Institute Approved by IP3).
Additional marks will be given to candidates who have certifications above the required level.
Age Limits:
Minimum of 38 years or above.
Domicile:
Applicant must possess domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (including merged areas).
