Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold degrees in the relevant field from institutions recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and must meet the experience requirements mentioned for each role.
For example:
- For Manager (DNA & Serology): PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Genetics with 5 years of experience in a forensic lab
- For Forensic Scientist (Latent Finger Print): MS/MPhil in Chemistry with 3 years of relevant experience
- For Junior Forensic Scientists: MS/MPhil in the relevant field with 3 years’ experience (some roles allow Pharm-D or MSc (Hons) qualifications)
Age requirements vary between 23 to 50 years, depending on the position. Some positions include quotas for women, minorities, and disabled individuals.
Salary Package
PFSA offers highly competitive pay:
- Manager Level: Rs. 425,000/month + 10% annual increment
- Forensic Scientist: Rs. 325,000/month + 10% annual increment (50% during training)
- Junior Forensic Scientist: Rs. 200,000/month + 10% annual increment (50% during training)

Interested candidates must apply online only through the University of the Punjab portal (www.pu.edu.pk) from 16 July to 31 July 2025. Applications submitted by any other method will not be entertained.

- Visit www.pu.edu.pk and complete the online application.
- Upload required documents (degrees, CNIC, photos, experience certificates).
- Pay the application fee of Rs. 1,000/- using Habib Bank Limited (HBL) or UBL Challan Form. No postal orders or bank drafts will be accepted.
- Submit separate applications for each post if applying for multiple positions.
Important Instructions for Applicants
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the test/interview.
- Candidates with foreign degrees must provide HEC equivalence.
- Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
- Original documents must be presented at the time of the interview.
