The Head Recovery & Settlement Unit will be headed by an AVP-I/AVP.The Head Recovery & Settlement Unit will have an AVP (AVP-I) to lead.
Head Corporate & Service Law Matter Department (VP-I/VP)
The role will be suitable for a legal professional with prior experience and expertise managing legals for the bank across corporate legal affairs, service-related lawsuits, litigation & legal risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate legal risks and look at ways to resolve them legally.
- Prepare & process legal documents as needed by the bank.
- Review the best decisions from the superior court, specifically all decisions involving ZTBL cases, and make policy recommendations to management.
- Ensure adherence to prudential regulations and relevant SBP and SECP guidelines.
- Lead employee service law matters such as service agreements, employment agreements/agreements, NIRC matters, conformance with employment service law, and the handling of grievances.
- Review, negotiate and draft corporate and service related contracts such as vendor agreement, partnership, client contract, service level agreements, and MoUs.
- Co-ordinate with 31 Legal Litigation Units (LLUs) in the country.
- Engage in litigation at a national level in statutory, corporate, business, tax and service related matters in Pakistan.
- Build up a current compendium of bank legislation for stakeholders.
- Know what new laws and court rulings have affected banking.
- Make sure tasks and functions are accomplished in a timely manner.
B2. Unit Head Settlement (AVP-I/AVP)
ZTBL is also looking for experienced professional for its Settlement position Islamabad or Lahore. The successful applicant will provide assistance with litigation handling, recovery and settlement related functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper time management for litigations issues, especially criminal cases pertaining with FIA, NAB and other related agencies.
- Supervise, monitor and manage recovery and settlement, court representation and legal support for the recovery functions throughout the bank.
- Share and coordinate with local administration and law enforcement.
- Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations and industry standards on the affected portfolio.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and recommend alterations to policy as needed.
- Work with the internal teams to meet recovery goals related to the impacted portfolio.
- Use information on recovery procedures and regulations.
- Find opportunities for process improvement, automation and operational efficiency.
- Do other jobs delegated to them by management.
Head Recovery & Settlement Unit (AVP-I/AVP)
The third is for a more senior member who will be running the recovery and settlement program and the administrative process of overseeing efficiency and disciplinary cases, including implement and record keeping of efficiency and disciplinary cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the competent authority’s decisions are implemented in a timely fashion.
- Keep records of efficiency and disciplinary issues that have been resolved.
- Ensure that records are kept up to date with regards to the Policy, Coordination and Database Unit.
- Collection of past dues on employees who have had cases settled under the rules and regulations.
- Complete assigned tasks and functions on time.
- Take on other responsibilities as delegated by Management.
