The CEO will be directly responsible to the Administrator and will oversee the running of the Islamabad Club. This position has strategic leadership, financial sustainability, governance, service excellence, infrastructure development and senior management accountability responsibilities.
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
The COO will report to the CEO and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the club, covering sports, golf, events and recreational facilities, dining and accommodation.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The CFO will be responsible for and report to the CEO and will be responsible for the club’s finance function, such as financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting and member billing, asset and liability management, treasury, taxation and internal controls, financial analysis and similar responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The CEO will be responsible for:
- Implementing and carrying out the Board-approved strategic plan, business plan and annual budgets.
- Assessing and holding the senior management team to account by means of targets and reviews.
- Ensuring internal audit is independent.
- Providing excellent member service in the dining, room, sports, golf and events departments.
- Optimisation of costs without compromising growing membership, food and beverage, rooms or banquets and sports revenues.
- To ensure that the Club’s constitution, bye-laws and rules are adhered to.
- Ensuring good governance, internal controls and regulatory compliance.
- Speaking on behalf of the Club to members, governments, affiliated clubs, and the diplomatic and media communities.
- Managing major development projects, renovations and modernisation of buildings.
- Establishing a high performance and member-centric culture and reporting performance, risks and opportunities to the Board.
“Eco” is the acronym for the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Honourees.
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
The COO will:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day activities of club outlets and facilities.
- Convert approved strategy into operational plans, KPI and service standards.
- Preserve standards for the quality of food, hygiene, housekeeping and member/guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate and manage events, functions, sports tournaments and member activities.
- Efficiently manipulate inventory and resources and manage operating costs.
- Ensure health, safety, food safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise the care of equipment, grounds and facilities.
- Manage, develop and coach operational staff and department heads.
- Track and report on performance regularly to the CEO.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The CFO will:
- Manage the financial planning and budgeting cycle for the club and take overall responsibility in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
- Make accurate and timely financial statements, following applicable accounting standards and laws.
- In charge of Member Account Billing, Subscriptions, outstanding dues & outstanding dues recovery.
- Oversee cash flow, treasury and investments/banking relationships.
- Establish internal control/oversight of F&B, rooms, stores, sports revenue and event revenue.
- Interact with external auditors and the Head of Internal Audit.
- Make sure that tax regulations are adhered to and statutory returns are filed.
- Report to the CEO, Finance Committee and Board about financial analysis and MIS.
- Provide leadership and oversight for the Finance & Accounts team.
Eligibility Criteria
CEO
Qualification: MBA or master’s in business administration or a similar degree from an HEC-recognised university or master’s in hospitality management, master’s in management or similar from an HEC-recognised university or validation by a professional or academic institution.
Experience: 15 years or more post-qualification and 7 years or more experience as a CEO or C-level executive within an organisation of multiple companies or multiple units.
The candidate should have shown 360-degree P&L ownership with results that achieved revenue growth, cost control and operational turnaround. It is desired that an individual have a background of leading a top members club, recreational project, or large hospitality/sporting organisation.
COO
The qualification for the position is a master’s degree in hospitality/hotel management, business administration or a related field obtained from a university recognised by the HEC.
Experience: 15 years plus in a hospitality setting, with at least 5 years of experience as a COO, Resident/General Manager or Director Operations (or similar senior position).
Successful applicants will be required to have a successful track record in managing F&B, rooms and recreational operations in a 5-star hotel, premier club or resort.
CFO
It is essential to be qualified as a CA, ACCA, ACMA or CPA. It will be a plus if you have an MBA in Finance from a university recognised by HEC.
Experience: 12 years plus post-qualification experience with at least 5 years in CFO, Finance Director or Head of Finance.
Experience in hospitality, a members’ club or a not-for-profit organisation is preferred. Experience with ERP/hospitality accounting software like SAP, Odoo, Oracle, Opera, etc. is also required.
