Purpose of Position / Job Description:
According to the advertisement, the General Manager Coordination position would be for a candidate who has experience in executing and coordinating initiatives and has proven to be effective in coordinating with government entities, development partners and other relevant stakeholders in social development initiatives, such as CSR.
In other roles, the advertisement calls for a set of requirements which include power plant operations, Combined Cycle power plants based on gas turbines and HSE duties in industrial companies.
Eligibility Criteria
General Manager Coordination
Qualification:
A qualification of at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Arts, Physical Sciences, Sciences, Finance, Commerce, Economics or another field of relevance.
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years experience in public sector, government/semi-government organisations, Armed Forces or senior management/administrative roles in the private sector, with international experience.
Prospective candidates must have previous experience in the realization and coordination of projects and demonstrate good coordination with the government, development partners and other stakeholders and participants in social development projects, such as CSR.
Manager Mechanical
Qualification:
BS Engineering (Mechanical). MS Engineering (Mechanical) will be preferred.
Experience:
Experience in the power industry of at least 5 years in a related field.
Experience in the operation of the Combined Cycle power plants (CC) using gas turbine equipment in the above-mentioned field will be appreciated. Experience with public sector business processes, procedures and working environments will be a plus.
Manager of Health Safety Environment (HSE)
Qualification:
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or related area.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in HSE is required. Previous experience of HSE management in industry, P-current projects or the Oil & Gas industry will be preferred.
Experience from overseas will be given as a plus point.
Assistant Manager Instrument & Controls (I&C)
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering or other disciplines. Experience with MS Engineering in related discipline will be preferred.
Experience:
Relevant experience in the power sector of at least 2 years is required. Experience operating power plants will be preferred.
An understanding of government/public sector processes and procedures working environments will be a plus point.
Important Information
- Compensation is competitive and subject to market rate per the qualifications, experience and skill sets of the staff member, as well as incentives provided by QATPL.
- The academic degrees should be obtained from a University/Institution recognized by HEC.
- Anyone with an international degree must obtain an HEC equivalency certificate.
- As for the government staffs, they are encouraged to apply once they have received an NOC from their government departments/organizations.
